ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist I entered username as SCOTT and password as 123456. In the white box at the left side, there is nothing. I downloaded TOAD, i put username as SCOTT and password 123456. The error i get in SQL Developer, "Socket is not connected". Also, I can connect as sysdba from SQL*Plus.
I used to access it via SQL Developer, now i moved to new place so the IP is changed, i can't connect with SQL Developer! Even though I can not connect to the Database via SQL Developer, i can connect to the database via SQL*Plus successfully. Ok, I have Oracle 10g already installed long time ago.
First of all, i have Oracle 10g installed in my PC, so i'm just connecting to the db locally for educational purposes.
